AMRS
The team delivered 605+ events in May - a combination of digital, onsite, and hybrid experiences.
- YouTube Live From New York, YouTube’s all-team meeting, took place at the Chelsea/Hudson Campus. 150 Googlers participated and Neal Mohan, Chief Product Officer at YouTube, was among the speakers.
- The team hosted UXECON, Google’s annual Internal User Experience Engineering Conference. The event was attended by 150 in-person Googlers and 300 remote attendees.
- The annual YouTube NewFronts kicked off at Pier 57 and the team hosted a welcome event for YouTube Brandcast. 250+ top YouTube clients attended the event which included appearances from top YouTube creators Jon Youshaei, Alan Chikin Chow, and Liza Koshy.
- Pier 57 hosted the recent gTech Director’s Offsite. The event was held over three days across multiple spaces. The theme was camping and attendees were treated to an array of campfire themed games and fun.
EMEA
The team delivered 525+ digital and onsite experiences across Europe, including:
- The Brussels team hosted Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, as he met EU politicians and European media for a discussion on Artificial Intelligence.
- London hosted Sports@Youtube 2023 at the Google Kings Cross site. The event showcased the way YouTube has embraced many different sports and the new ways the world views them. Many YouTubers and sports personalities were in attendance, such as Gerard Pique (former world cup winner and Champions League winner), Amy Turner (Tottenham Hotspur Player), and the YouTubers, The Sidemen.
- Dublin hosted GML (Google Marketing Live); they welcomed over 300 in-person attendees and broadcast to a large external audience too. It was the first time our team facilitated a full-tech handover to an external production team and it was also the first time the Auditorium and Studio were linked live on a broadcast.
APAC
The team delivered nearly 30 digital, 155+ in-person, and 205+ hybrid experiences this month, including:
- The Antler Startup Conference took place at the Singapore Google Campus from May 15-16. The event was a 1.5 day partnership with Google Cloud. Over 200 attendees from the startup community attended alongside local media and press across multiple venues on campus.
- Shelley Reyes AO Fireside Chat was held on May 30 as part of National Reconciliation Week in Australia. Shelley Reyes, gave a keynote speech to educate Googlers about reconciliation. The was sponsored by the RAP Core and Google Executive teams. Q&A was moderated by Ashley Finch, CMO of Google.
