AMRS
The Americas team was busy in May, delivering 6 events, as well as supporting client projects and site visits in EMEA and APAC.
The team delivered Kelso’s Annual Meeting with general sessions at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn in New York for 150 people. The program included expertly handled, last-minute speaker presentations, multiple breakouts, a one-day general session with a giant LED wall, 4 rotating shuttles that expertly navigated downtown Brooklyn rush hour traffic, a buy out of the rooftop at the William Vale, and an axe throwing experience for young associates.
EMEA
The team completed several events in May, including:
- The Advent Worldwide Meeting at the Four Seasons Astir Palace in Athens, Greece. With 365 attendees, the meeting included a buyout of the Four Seasons with an overflow into the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso. The team arranged the main conference, ancillary meetings, rapid networking, welcome reception and after party, dine-arounds, and a closing dinner that included a 6-activity team building exercise. The team also arranged peripheral events which included the Asian Alliance Drinks Reception and New Joiners’ Reception & Women’s Inclusion Network Breakfast, where the Greek Prime Minister’s wife spoke.
- Carlyle Asia Investor Conferences at the Four Seasons Hong Kong for 250 attendees and the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi for 350 attendees. This was the first in-person return to APAC for Carlyle’s investor conferences since the pandemic. Our FIRST team (led by EMEA with support from AMRS & APAC), Carlyle clients, and our embedded team worked across 3 time zones to arrange the main conference, ancillary meetings and a welcome reception.
APAC
While the team didn’t lead on any events in May, they were busy planning a number of events taking place in Q3 including: CVC Asia, the Mastercard Rugby World Cup program and Marina Bay Sands headline fashion shows.
The team also submitted two extensive pitches for Rolls Royce and Eurokars, showcasing some amazing work by our superb design team.
