New SVP, Strategy & Innovation
Earlier this year, FIRST announced the open role for a leader of Strategy & Innovation, which will be tasked with continuing the progress made in developing growth strategies for FIRST and delivering innovation to our key clients.
We are excited to announce that Adam Suellentrop has been appointed the new Senior Vice President, Strategy & Innovation!
As SVP, Strategy & Innovation, Adam will be responsible for exploring new pathways to growth, maximizing the impact of our investments, and monitoring current and upcoming trends to align FIRST for future growth. He will develop strategies and approaches designed to build consultancy led opportunities, revenue expansion, and profitable growth. Adam will also provide high level strategic and creative guidance to bring added value and thinking to client pitches and live opportunities, working collaboratively to develop solutions for clients.
Earth Month
April is Earth Month, and we cannot miss this opportunity to focus on the Planet element of Paramount. We’re working alongside FIRST Cares to share educational content about important environmental issues.
In addition, we have signed up to the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, a global events industry initiative to achieve Net Zero Carbon emissions by 2050 and reduce emissions by half by 2030. We are now working to devise a plan to implement it by measuring our GHG (GreenHouse Gas) emissions. To help us with this task, we have signed-up with Greenly, a certified carbon measurement platform.
Energy is high for Paramount, and there are more developments on the horizon. If you’d like to get involved with the group, have any questions, or would like to share a story with us, please reach out to: paramount@firstagency.com.

- Senior Project Manager, Liz Graddy, won the Stellar Performer award at the 2023 Smart Women in Meetings Awards!
- Finally, our teams had a thoughtful panel discussion about How to Strike a Work-Life Balance in New York, featured in a blog post

FIRST Cares
We’ve had a few roles to fill over the last month and would like to share our FIRST Cares Committee Chairs with you - each dedicated to wellness, sustainability and philanthropy. The start of April saw the end of the Global Wellness Challenge, chaired by Kelly Mullane and Jocelyn Rodriguez. A huge 'well done' to them and all our Team Captains within the committee. After 4 weeks dedicated to mental, physical, nutritional and social wellness, we’ll be announcing the 2023 winners soon! If you’re interested in learning more about FIRST Cares and want to get involved with some of our activities and initiatives please get in touch by emailing FIRSTCares@firstagency.com.
April Highlights
Throughout March we recognized Women’s History Month in many ways, and concluded with sharing some useful resources from our LGBTQ+ EIG in celebration of Trans Visibility Day - a day dedicated to Trans, Intersex and Non-Binary people.
As a reminder, please be thoughtful toward your colleagues fasting for Ramadan this season. This month, they will celebrate the end of their fast, enjoying a feast with loved ones to mark the end of Ramadan, also known as Eid.
Our Jewish Community EIG will be sharing some information to encourage all at FIRST to take a moment to acknowledge Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 18th, to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism.
If you’re interested in joining our Jewish Community EIG group on Slack, you can do so here link - join in on the conversation and feel connected with your colleagues.
