The team delivered 446 digital, onsite and hybrid experiences.
One highlight included the Google and Code Nation Annual Student Hackathon in partnership with Google's Education for Social Impact team. Over 150 students participated in coding competitions, building websites, and presenting their work along with the help of Google volunteers.
The Pier 57 team in NYC delivered 61 experiences and is celebrating its 1 year anniversary! Some March highlights of deliveries include:
- The Future of Work with Google Workspace partnered with Cloudspace to do Starline demos on the first floor with main content in Horizon Hall at Pier 57. With 160 attendees, Google was thrilled with the number of demos they were able to give to so many new people.
- Q1 NYC Site Operations Day with Ellen West, Sam Gold, Jennifer Cocco, Shih Hua Liong and John Burgess.
- Market 57 soft-launched late in March with the official opening day on April 1st. The event included great food, and gorgeous views. Pier 57 is now fully open!
EMEA
The team delivered nearly 400 digital and onsite experiences across Europe, including:
- International Women's Day with England's Football Association at Six Pancras Square in London, hosted by the UKI Managing Director for Cloud with special guest Sarina Wiegman CBE, England Football Team's Manager. The event kicked off with an intimate breakfast for women & allies hosted by Google Cloud and other Senior Google Execs. Attendees then traveled to Level 8 in London for a fireside chat and inspirational talk. This talk was recorded and live streamed internally with high engagement digitally and in person.
- Growing Up in the Digital Age, a Kids & Family Summit on behalf of the GSEC Team in Dublin for 140 child safety, privacy and digital policy professionals across the region. Notable attendees and speakers included members of Irish, French and Danish Government, Adaire Fox-Martin, Jen Fitzpatrick and Royal Hansen. The event helped Google continue to build trust with governments, regulators, NGOs, academics & think tanks, including the EU Commission, UK DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport), Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator) & DPAs (the Data Protection Act) through dialogue, keynotes & panels.
APAC
The team delivered 378 digital, in-person and hybrid experiences globally.
One highlight included AUNZ Live, the first large scale event in the region. This cross-functional event had our Event Management and Event Production teams working closely together to deliver a very successful event in the Event Production Studio in Sydney, which was viewed by Googlers in Melbourne and Auckland.
