FIRST @ Bank of America
The team delivered 30 events this month, including a special Wine Pairing Dinner with Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon for an intimate group of 30 at Artisan Restaurant in Southport, CT. Madeline engaged with the guests in sharing her knowledge and wisdom while everyone enjoyed a 4-course meal, perfectly paired with wines from both the old and new worlds.
FIRST @ Capital Group
The team delivered 3 events (2 in person, 1 virtual) this month for clients and prospects. Each event discussed market trends and included investment professionals’ perspectives for long-term investors. The in-person events had the largest attendance at the New York office since before the pandemic.
FIRST @ Carlyle
The team delivered 10 events this month, including the first Carlyle Investor Conference of the year. The team welcomed 150 of Carlyle’s clients to New York for a dinner with guest speaker Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski, followed by a full day of content. The dinner took place at Cathedrale at the Moxy East Village. This conference is one of the many events throughout the year where the FIRST @ Carlyle team interacts with the Agency team at FIRST, who seamlessly helped project manage and produce the event.
FIRST @ Goldman Sachs
The team delivered many events and global roadshows in April, including:
- The 13th Institutional Client Symposium in New York City convened over 300 non-profit leaders, industry experts, and Goldman Sachs advisors to share perspectives on key themes and challenges facing nonprofit organizations and other institutional investors. The event kicked off with a reception at the Goldman Sachs headquarters in NYC, followed by a full day symposium with engaging speakers, video content, and ample networking opportunities. The event concluded with an inspiring keynote session featuring Hamdi Ulukaya, Founder & CEO of Chobani and Founder of the Tent Partnership for Refugees.
- The Annual Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Spring Forum was hosted at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. The forum was held during the 2023 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. It brought together nearly 100 clients for an afternoon of packed breakout sessions. The sessions featured a spectrum of speakers including Dr. Enrique Hidalgo, Diogo Guillen, Jude Blanchette and Andrea Kendall Taylor. The evening concluded with a dinner and panel featuring Rachel Bade, Jude Blanchette, Andrea Kendall Taylor and moderated by Geoffrey Okamoto.
FIRST @ KKR
The team delivered nearly 75 events globally this month, including activations at this year's Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia and at KKR’s headquarters in New York. The team's next major milestones will be the AMRS and EMEA investor conferences in May and June, respectively.
FIRST @ McKinsey
The AMRS team has booked more than 90 programs for 2023, and 5 for 2024. The EMEA and APAC teams have booked or sourced 74 programs for 2023, 4 for 2024 and 1 for 2025.
One highlight of April was the New Partners Orientation (NPO) 2023, a global learning and celebratory program with over 800 new Partners and seasoned Senior Partners with their significant others, hosted in beautiful seaside resorts of Goa, India. The five-day event started with a welcome reception and dinner followed by multiple half day learning sessions and half day excursions. The excursions ranged from UNESCO World Heritage sites to spice plantations to simply lounging by the pool. On the last night, everyone enjoyed food from every corner of India, including street snacks, and was entertained by a live band surrounded by paddy fields at the offsite gala dinner. The program ended with a closing plenary and luncheon the next day.
FIRST @ Morgan Stanley
The team delivered nearly 40 events and more than 80 roadshows, including:
- The Fixed Income Sustainable Investment Conference at the in-house conference center in London. This was the first conference of its kind across all regions and was a huge success. With over 260 individuals in attendance (109 were female!), as well as 47 speakers, there were a plethora of keynotes, fireside chats, deep dive sessions and 1x1 investor meetings for attendees. Feedback has been outstanding, highlighting the valuable content, the smooth flow, conference organization, and the sustainability-focused catering and logistics.
- The 2023 Chairman's Club Conference, an annual celebration of success recognizing the firm's top 3% revenue financial advisor producers. Each attendee and his/her/their guest enjoyed a jam-packed 4 days of themed dinner receptions, numerous hosted activities, and enriching business content. This year's conference featured a world famous athlete as keynote speaker who shared his mindset for success followed by an exclusive photo op. The conference concluded with laughter featuring a private comedy show with a well-known comedian. In addition, each advisor received one luxury gift from the curated gifting suite offering a variety of tech, lifestyle and apparel options. The event was a massive success!
