FIRST @ Bank of America
The team delivered 24 events this month, including:
- A global research conference that, for the first time ever, combined two annual conferences into one. There were 770 attendees at the 3 day event, which focused on sustainability. The topic was incorporated throughout the conference via water pitchers and refillable, biodegradable water bottles, agendas were made available via QR code to reduce paper waste, static wall clings were utilized and saved for use at other conferences.
- An inaugural program was delivered for C-Suite medical technology executives in Jackson Hole, WY. This 3-day event included skiing and snowboarding the Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains, on- and off-site meals including après ski, and business programming. The event concluded with an outing to The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Wyoming’s landmark watering hole established in 1937 and internationally famous for its western dancing and live entertainment.
FIRST @ Capital Group
The team delivered 4 events this month, including:
- An estate planning event hosted in conjunction with the 57th Annual Heckerling Institute in Orlando, FL. Capital Group Private Client Services was one of the sponsors and hosted a cocktail reception and luncheon that week, with overwhelming attendance at both events. We hosted 100 attorneys, trust officers, investment advisors and CPAs from different firms across the US. CG PCS had 3 team members from the Trust & Estate Planning team along with 6 PWAs from multiple offices. The luncheon had 68 guests, which allowed the team to move the program into a larger event space than was selected for the initially estimated 25 guests.
FIRST @ Carlyle
The team delivered 20 events this month, including:
- A welcome event for Carlyle’s new CEO, Harvey Schwartz, as well as an event the team produced for Black History Month. For that, David M. Rubenstein interviewed some of Carlyle’s Black Managing Directors and Partners at their offices in Washington DC, engaging the Agency team to support in livestream production.
- A 3-day conference in Miami, where the team hosted 75 attendees at and around the W South Beach for general sessions, business-critical board meetings, two seated dinners, and a cruise along the Miami waterways on exclusive Van Dutch yachts.
FIRST @ Citadel
The team delivered 6 events this month. Some highlights include:
- Citadel rented out the Art Institute in Chicago and had a private viewing of the Salvador Dali exhibit, which had opened one day prior. They hosted 600 employees for food, drink, and Dali-inspired décor.
- Citadel rented out the Rockefeller Center Ice Skating rink in New York City for 4 days, with a total of 3,000 people team members coming through. The program included food, hot chocolate, and Citadel-provided branded swag from a desk drop prior to the event (beanies, hydroflasks, and gloves).
FIRST @ Goldman Sachs
The team delivered 11 APAC, 12 EMEA and 21 AMRS events and 44 global roadshows, including:
- The Global Partners Meeting, sponsored by CEO, David Solomon, brought 436 Goldman Sachs partners to Miami to discuss the current state of the company, ways to improve company culture, meet up with their newly aligned divisions, and have a little fun in the process. The events team at GS partnered with FIRST Production to pull off a well-designed session, including presentations by GS leadership, Jennifer Doudna, Mike Wirth, and Trevor Noah. The week also included meetings with new partners, divisional meetings, ancillary breakfasts/lunches, and a full group evening event at the new Miami hotspot, Queen. The onsite crew included 17 members of the FIRST @ GS team who all worked together flawlessly and laughed endlessly to get through a long planning and execution process that have been given numerous kudos!
- For the second Investor Day at Goldman Sachs’ headquarters, David Solomon and other senior leadership gave updates to the firm and investors on the company’s strategic priorities and focus points. The event rolled out new marketing initiatives for the company and showcased the updated branding around the building. The day concluded with a seated lunch and break out panels for the investors and press to hear more from senior leadership.
FIRST @ KKR
The team delivered 31 events, including:
- The 2023 KKR Asia Offsite in Bali, Indonesia, brought together 400 colleagues from APAC and across the world – the team’s first face-to-face meeting since 2019. The event theme, ‘Reconnect, Engage, Resolve,’ celebrated the team’s reunion across eight offices. The offsite consisted of two half-day plenary sessions which addressed the business, culture and notable themes to watch, as well as build-a-bike and Amazing Race team-building activities. Other highlights included new-joiner skits and an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session. This was the first event during which the team was able to partner with the incredible APAC/EMEA Agency team, who did an amazing job of planning and executing a majority of the logistics for the complex event.
FIRST @ Meta
The team hosted an AR creator days event for the Smithsonian Institution’s Digitization team. The event included an introductory workshop to train those whose responsibilities include 3D scanning museum collection objects and sites to see how they can incorporate new skills into their current roles. In March, the team is hosting more workshops; they collaborated with the International Women’s Day team and Girls Who Code in connection with the American singer and actress Becky G. Next will be the presence platform Hackathon happening in April across 2 Meta locations, California & London.
FIRST @ McKinsey
The team has booked nearly 100 programs for 2023 globally, and are actively sourcing 75 more.
- The Life/Annuities Executive Officer Roundtable, an annual gathering of McKinsey Partners and CEOs from top North American insurance companies, took place at the Confidante Miami Beach. It culminated with a spectacular wine dinner on an ocean view terrace, curated by the Confidante’s Executive Chef with a local sommelier. Guests enjoyed viewing a live painting by a local artist from Murals Miami. The finished piece was donated to JAFCO, whose mission is to provide care, safety and support to children and their families within the Jewish community and beyond who are impacted by abuse, neglect, trauma, or developmental disabilities…giving every child a place to belong.
FIRST @ Morgan Stanley
The team delivered 62 events and 130 global roadshows this month. Some highlights include:
- Create Your Future, the first of a new event series that positions Morgan Stanley at Work (formerly E*TRADE) at the Adobe corporate campus in California to provide complimentary in person one-on-ones with financial professionals for personalized guidance. This platform connects MSAW with current and prospective clients on Corporate headquarter campuses featuring activations, hospitality and in-person education sessions in a face to face environment.
- The annual drinks receptions at the Courtauld Gallery in London, where the Peter Doig exhibition is currently taking place, opened to the public in early February, sponsored by Morgan Stanley. The event received positive feedback on the venue, exhibition and event overall. One of the senior hosts even commented that it was the best of the annual receptions that he’d been to.
FIRST @ PIMCO
The team has delivered 49 events in 2023 so far, including:
- A Charity Dodgeball Tournament at In2Sports in Canary Wharf, alongside Dodgeball London, was produced for the third time due to numerous train strikes! We hosted 32 industry teams to include clients, colleagues and suppliers. The day was full of energy as teams dodged, ducked and dived their way to a chance at taking home the victory trophy. Attendees raised £17,200 for the NSPCC.
- The Women Leaders of Influence event series kicked off with a bang, where attendees were engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the empowerment of connecting and networking with a group of their female peers. The event included an exclusive presentation and cocktail reception with Julia Gillard, the 27th Australian Prime Minister at Home House, with 23 key clients in attendance. This was the second time we planned this event due to a postponement because of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
- The Athens Income Event, a cocktail reception and presentation at the Museum of Cycladic Art in the Centre of Athens, Greece, had a 75% turnout rate which exceeded expectations. The museum is famed for its collection celebrating the ancient civilizations of the Aegean and Cyprus.
