Solutions
FIRST @ BP
The team supported 3 events in December, including STEM in the Pipeline. Hosted by BP North Sea Headquarters, this “Energising the Transition” competition had senior pupils from local schools presenting their projects to develop a field development plan while applying their knowledge of STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
FIRST @ Goldman Sachs
The team completed 95 events and 32 roadshows including the annual Family Ice Skating Event, held at GLIDE at Battersea Power Station in the UK. Attendees were met at the entrance by Santa’s Elves, children collected their passports and made their way through Candyland, collecting stamps as they got their faces painted, decorated mugs for hot chocolate and designed gingerbread cookies before heading onto the rink – all while parents networked over mulled wine.
FIRST @ Meta
The team completed 4 events this month, including the second AR Summit. For the event, 41 AR creators from around the globe were hosted and creators shared the latest information on their internal platforms via a series of sessions including: virtual object demos, breakout and build workshops, as well as lighting talks and an 'ask me anything' panel with top industry leads.
FIRST @ McKinsey
The team submitted over 579 RFPs in 2022 and planned over 100 events, including McKinsey New York, which celebrated the holidays at Ziegfeld Ballroom. With more than 1,500 attendees and a theme of “NYO Loves NYC”, attendees experienced a subway-tiled photo booth and an interactive wall where guests marked their favorite places on a large city map. Special transitions included a Kabuki curtain drop to reveal the ballroom and a 14 piece band. Subway stop food stations served up small bites of NY classics like hot pastrami sandwiches & strip steak, and a late night “pizza parade” allowed guests to enjoy a slice. The evening concluded with a rendition of New York, New York!
FIRST @ Morgan Stanley
The team completed 36 events and 135 roadshows. There was a consistent pace of programs in December, while the team geared up for early January event planning over the holidays which kicked 2023 into full throttle.
We are excited to celebrate the team receiving a 2022 Webby Award for their work and contributions for the “Holidays From Harlem with Carla Harris and Friends” event from December 2021, recognizing contributions in the Employee Fundraising Initiative category. Pabvon Rubens said, “It was rewarding enough to manage an event to raise money for children’s hospitals, globally. It was equally exciting to highlight some beautiful vocal talent at Morgan Stanley. This award leaves me feeling honored!”
