The team delivered nearly 685 events in October - a combination of digital, onsite, and hybrid experiences.
The Pier 57 team recently hosted Made by Google, an annual hardware launch where Google unveiled the latest updates within its Pixel portfolio, including devices, apps, and services. Google welcomed 400+ guests, press, creators, etc., who had the chance to listen and learn about the new product and interact with the new productions. Our team collaborated with the client to build a custom stage, manage production, and conduct demos. Given the event's high confidentiality regarding Google's portfolio, our collaboration with the exceptional Event Manager (EM), Event Producer (EP), and Guest Services team was pivotal in ensuring its success!
EMEA
The team delivered 745+ events in October - a combination of digital, onsite, and hybrid experiences.
The FIRST team in London hosted many events for Google in celebration of Black History Month. Collaborating with the Black Googler Network, they piloted a project that involved renaming event spaces to commemorate key people and events in Black History. The events team supported by adapting the internal events website, adopting the new names in our communications to those booking the spaces throughout October, adding content to screens in pre-function areas, and making suggestions for how a “takeover” like this can be easily replicated in future.
The Dublin EP team hosted the Premier Partner Summit at the Auditorium, an in-person event tailored for high-level Google Partners and simultaneously broadcast live on YouTube. This event was executed in collaboration with agency partners, Parable. Notably, it marked the inaugural use of a Steadicam in the event's broadcast production.
APAC
The team delivered nearly 405 events in October - a combination of digital, onsite and hybrid experiences.
The team delivered the Sydney Client Sales Appreciation event. It was an opportunity for Google’s account managers to say thank you to their most valued clients. The FIRST Team worked with an external agency to transform Corroboree into an immersive Palm Springs-themed event for the evening. The synchronized swimmers, live band, and vinyl DJ created a memorable experience for the guests and the Sydney sales team.
The annual site-wide GoogleWeen in Singapore was in October, with the traditional spooky haunted house as well as a double TGIF across the two main cafes Shiok and StREAT combined with costume competitions for both adults and kids, where the kids’ finals was judged by Parents @ ERG Sponsor Ben King. Trick or Treat and other fun activities were enjoyed by close to 600 Googlers accompanied by over 300 family members. The Singapore team made it a success for the host team by giving sound advice on measures for seamless crowd management and onsite registration experience.
In Singapore, the team also hosted the APAC Annual Partner Meeting in the newly upgraded tech talk 3+ Fuji Room. The event was graced by Matt Hood, Senior Director for Global Food Program and attended by leaders within Google around the APAC region. The Event Operation Lead - David McKechnie and Director of Events, Guest Services and Amenities - David Dvorak also attended the event in-person, and flew in from the AMER and EMEA regions. The event production team and event management team received great feedback from the organizing team on the execution and coordination of the event.

My heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies who went the extra mile to make sure that I am well fed and making my plate filled with colours when I am on a digital event. They too share their tips and tricks on how I can do better for digital events. Really appreciate it!
Eva Dedieu, Olivier Caillard: FIRST Supporting Google, Paris
Thank you all for all your hard work in making the event go so well. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Google Paris: you’re an awesome team - thank you!
Victorialee Arger: FIRST Supporting Google, NYC
Victorialee was extremely proactive in setting up meetings with my group, sending out comms / tangible next steps / action items, and coordinating with the catering team to make our event a success. Without Victorialee, our event would not have been as nearly successful as it was. We can't thank you enough!
Rebecca Joseph: FIRST Supporting Google, Sydney

Avita Tarachan, Andrew Alers: FIRST Supporting Google, NYC
Sending Kudos to Avita for a successful 3 day global digital summit. Avita and Drew (EP) had to attend many syncs for the last 3 months. They spent a lot of time connecting with different regions, making sure they had the right support and communicated with the host throughout the whole process.
